Objectives: Overview

Motivation

Many beaches and vessels are being effected by the power and energy of waves coming to the shores and harbors. Breakwaters can be used to dissipate some of this energy. There are equations to determine wave heights in certain positions around the breakwater, but we wanted to determine the validity of our physical model for simulating breakwaters in the Department of Geology at UW-Madison.
