Original Project
The Effects of Landslide Volume on Tsunami Height/Runup
The original direction of this research concerned the effects of landslide volume on tsunami height/runup specifically looking at the effects of grain size and wave frequency on runup and wave height. This, however, was unfeasible due to equipment limitations.
Tank too shallow
Could not drop soil into the tank to simulate an underwater landslide

Difficult to measure runup
Reflection off the surface of the water
Would have damaged the sedimentary tank if loads of soil were dropped in.
